Meina Schellander

Meina Schellander was born in Klagenfurt, Austria, in 1946. From 1966 to 1970 she studied graphics with Maximilian Melcher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. The artist works as a painter and creates percent for art projects, spatial installations and place arrangements in public space. In 1976 she received the Förderungspreis of the city of Vienna, in 1984 the Förderungspreis of the province of Carinthia for visual arts and in 2005 the Frauenkulturpreis of the province of Carinthia. The artist is a member of the Vienna Secession and the Carinthian Art Association. Meina Schellander lives and works in Vienna.
