Werner Kaligofsky
Werner Kaligofsky was born in 1957 in Wörgl, Tyrol, Austria. From 1973 to 1977 he graduated from the Grafische Bundes-, Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt, Vienna. From 1978 to 1984 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. He received a state scholarship for fine arts and one for artistic photography. His works have been exhibited, among others. at the Liverpool Biennial 2004 and 2012, at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg - Rupertinum, at 21er Haus Vienna, at the Tate Gallery Liverpool, at the University of South Florida, in Tama, at gfzk | Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst, Leipzig, at the Austrian Cultural Forum, New York, at Kunsthalle Exnergasse, Vienna, at Kunsthalle Tirol, Innsbruck, at Galerie Fotohof in Salzburg, at Camera Austria, Graz, at Galerie im Taxispalais Innsbruck, at Palais Liechtenstein, Feldkirch and at Galerie Grita Insam, Vienna. Werner Kaligofsky lives and works in Vienna.
