Artwork text

A girl is seen reciting the national anthem. At the beginning, a speaker says: “This girl is reciting the national anthem.” The speaker cannot be seen, the girl cannot be heard. The cross-transfer of image and sound makes everything seem “right” and “wrong” at the same time. Apart from the “sensory data” structure of this film, I wanted to try out a little dramaturgical trick: the louder the environment becomes, the more one closes one’s eyes and vice versa.
